"2lofi4u makes music and media projects for ourselves, because we want to see and hear them."
A boutique label and collective founded with one goal: discovering and sharing the best lo-fi music out there.
From ambient haze to power-pop sprints, four-track noise to Beatle-esque harmonies, our family of dedicated audiophiles scours the internet, record stores, and old boxes of tape to find new lost sounds that deserve to be heard.
We make music and media projects for ourselves, press them at a lo-price, and share them with a rampant DIY philosophy from a rural home base in Vermont.
Radio play in the US, UK, and France. Featured in Rolling Stone, Spin, and on NPR's This American Life.
Ten acts united by a shared DIY philosophy and a refusal to make the same record twice. Click any artist to read their full story.

Ghosts of Pasha began with the decades-long friendship of Milo Finch (Drums, Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass, Production) and Chris Partyka (Guitar, Vocals, Clarinet, Bass, Histrionics) and their preoccupation with DIY recording.
After many years in bands of all kinds — touring or just home recording — Chris took a break from hopping between American cities and set up shop with Milo in Vermont. What followed was well over 200 recorded songs, accidental internet fame, a few tours, and a large legacy of wildly varying musical aesthetics.
"This was not just a 'Meme-able band' but a musical collective of capable and heartfelt multi-instrumental storytellers."
Covered in the Pasha catalog: space-rock, lo-fi 4-track and noise rock, modern rock, jangle pop, power pop, woodwind-soaked basement humor, invented words, and a celebration of life as art.
The band name came from a feeling of being "present but not really there" — and from a beloved word used by Chris's late grandmother, who would lovingly call a lazy child "a Pasha."

Mapother IV always says they've been influenced by love and the sounds of their hometown. Their existence as a lo-fi recording artist couldn't have happened without these powerful forces.
"Their signature style has made their music instantly recognizable, and ear worthy."
Mapother IV's greatest desire is to create music that speaks to the broken romantics and the black-hearted lost — those who live somewhere in the space between feeling everything and feeling nothing at all.
"There is no room dark enough to fix us."

Throughout their musical career, Pseudologia Fantastica has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. Performing at a variety of venues, making dozens of appearances, and continuing to record new singles — they've earned the admiration and affection of fans since 1971.
Fusing vocal talent, precision, and skill with masterful production, they've created an impressive back catalogue. From up-tempo tunes to mellow tracks, their career spans decades of sonic exploration.
"Where words fail, music speaks."

Started as a recording project in the blood-soaked, cobblestone streets of the mid-90s NYC meatpacking district. D9 recorded its first release: Something's Shady About Billy's Mummy — a record that captured the grit and strange energy of that era and locale.
Years later, D9 followed up with an unfinished record called The Creepiest Thing on Earth. The title is accurate. Exclusive to the 2lofi4u catalog, including the track The Electric Grandmother.

Co-founder and guitarist of Ghosts of Pasha, Chris Partyka's creative life has been one of perpetual motion — years alternating between American cities before finally settling in Vermont with Milo Finch.
His guitar approach is unconventional: he fell in love with playing the notes in between the main rhythm — clean, reverb-less, through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Tube Amp — often paired with a 1964 Fujigen-made Teisco VN-4 Baritone.
Chris also plays clarinet, bass, and serves as a primary vocalist in Ghosts of Pasha. His solo work documents the same restless creative spirit.

Oi! (おい!) hey boy! brings a fast, bright, basement-party charge to the 2lofi4u roster: short songs, loud hooks, and the feeling of a chorus arriving before the tape machine is fully ready.
The project sits in the sweet spot between punk immediacy and handmade pop, built for rough edges, shouted refrains, and all the beautiful accidents that make a room feel alive.

The Get Up And Go leans into forward motion: bright guitars, quick turns, and songs that feel like they are already halfway out the door by the time the first chorus lands.

BOG VIPER is the heavier, stranger corner of the catalogue: thick riffs, murky textures, and a name that sounds like it crawled out of a practice amp at midnight.
A playable game-and-sound piece now lives here in place of the standard music player: choose your swamp, open the cartridge, and let BOG VIPER make its own noise.

Nervous Young Galaxies suggests anxious constellations, small-room recordings, and melodies with a little static around the edges.
This profile is staged for future notes on members, recordings, and visual material from the archive.

The Kids In The Valley rounds out the expanded roster with a rural, communal feel: songs that belong to fields, back roads, borrowed rooms, and the people who keep showing up.
